Few weeks ago I received call from a man who has read our free business book.
His question was, “What profitable business can I start?”
People ask me this particular question a lot so let me address it today.
My response to this man was, “No business is profitable!” and that’s the same response I have for anyone else who wish to ask me the same question.
I continued with my caller, “Business is NOT profitable, only people are”
What do you mean Steve?
I mean, NO business in the world is profitable!
When people wonder what business they can start which could make them millions within short time, they simply don’t understand.
No business under the Earth is profitable (I repeat), only people are profitable.
The question is, are you profitable?
If you’re not profitable, you canNOT do any business and be rich.
It’s not about the business. It’s about an individual.
Should you want me to make that clear, let me tell you this my story.
In September year 2012, I started a business where thousands of Nigerians have started years and months before me but in about 7-12 months after, I was making more money than many of those I met in the business (though not so much money).
I am profitable. Most of them were not.
In the year 2014 again, I found myself in a situation where I had to compete with people who have been in certain business 3-5 years before me.
It was a tough battle but by the end of 2016, I had defeated all of them, except one person and by the time you’re reading this, I have won them all.
What is the difference here?
Of course, it’s not about the businesses (since we are all into the same businesses). It’s about the drivers of the business.
No business is profitable, only people are profitable.
Now listen to my advice and take it seriously.
Stop looking for a profitable business.
Start making yourself profitable.
The business skills you have. The numbers of strategies you can exhibit in the business world. The numbers of “bullets” you know how to shoot.
These are what would determined whether you’ll become a success or a failure in the game called business.
Business education is what would make you (and your business) profitable.
As an entrepreneur, you’re like a soldier.
Battle strategies are more valuable to you than battle weapons.
With battle skills, you could easily get weapons. With weapons, you may still be defeated.
Think about that and get insight.
I love you, don’t you know that?
