Welcome to the Africa Business Classroom (ABC)
Its 4:22am here (as I started writing this tutorial).
I’ve been alive since around 2am. Don’t mind me, I have a serious problem with sleep (just getting to normal now).
At a time when my mates were sleeping 8/9hrs, I was FORCING myself to sleep 4/5hrs.
Because I needed power.
Do you know?
There is a close relationship between power and prosperity.
This is what I mean.
You can’t be rich if you’re not powerful.
And you can’t be powerful and not be rich.
You tell me, who are the richest people in today’s world?
People who have mighty businesses.
People who are famous (musicians, footballers etc.),
Political leaders (yes, even if you’re honest, successful politician, you’ll be rich)
and the kings.
Also some TOP employees.
Now you think about it!
All these people are powerful, that’s why they are rich.
Business people are in control of hundreds of people (employees),
Famous people (e.g. footballers, musicians) have thousands of raving fans who love them and can die for them (and that means they are in control of them).
You can’t be rich, except you’re powerful.
The more power you have, the richer you will become
Every power is used over people.
That is how the tittle of this tutorial goes;
Power, People, Prosperity
Get me right.
Dangote has around 15,000 employees (as at when writing this).
That makes him so powerful (and rich). For him to have more money, he MUST increase the number of his employees (and the numbers of people who like his products)
Michael Jackson was famous, then he has millions of fans. This made him to be very rich. If any musician, footballer, artist or actor will ever be rich, he/she must increase the numbers of people who are his/her fans. This will increase his power and the more power he/she has, the more prosperity.
Kings, rulers and military generals are rich, simply because they are in control of many people. The more the numbers of people a king (or general) rules, the more power he has and the more prosperity he has. That is the reason why Lagos King could be richer than the king of one small town in Yobe.
Maybe you don’t understand me?
To be rich, don’t look for money.
Look for *power*
If you’re powerful than people around you, you’ll be richer than them.
I’m not talking about physical power here.
I’m talking about mental power that leads to power over people.
You can`t make huge money in business if you are not powerful.
Power to win People (either for your product or political ambition) leads to Prosperity
Think about the following questions:
How can you get more people to love that your product/services? What can you do today to get more people to fall in love with your political ambition? How can you employ and engage more people to work for you?
The more people you have power over (directly or indirectly) the more power you will have, and the more your prosperity, so, increase your power!
How do we get more power? How do we get more people to fall in love with our products, services or political ambition?
By knowing far more than them. If you are in politics your goal is to know far more things about politics, history, your territory`s economy, human persuasion, public speaking, leadership etc. More than anyone who could be your opposition.
When you know more than your opponents, the electorates will see you as a more competent candidate. This buys more people to your ambition and gives you more power.
As a business man, your goal is to know far more than your competitors about marketing, leadership, negotiation, branding, and many other business and financial skills. If you know more about business than your competitors, you will apply your business skills in the market place and win more market share.
This means that more people are in love with you and this means that you are more powerful and this means that you will have more prosperity.
As a matter of fact, human being naturally bow down for superior knowledge, so knowledge is the source of power.
Tell me you don`t understand this and I will be crying!
