We are in the entrepreneurial revolution. I perceive this wave before it started, I even got idea and planned for it .This entrepreneurial wave started after the economic crash in 2008 before sweeping through and gaining ground from 2012 till now. “Entrepreneurial fever has been kicking into high gear, because when the economy slows down ,entrepreneurial activity heats up. In fact, entrepreneurs flourish in down times. In times of uncertainty ,we look for other ways to generate income. When we know we can’t rely on employers, we begin to look to ourselves. We start thinking maybe it’s time to break out of our comfort zones and get creative to help make ends meet.” Robert T. Kiyosaki.
The previous waves were the industrial revolution. Henry Ford was a big player in that wave. Second was the race for oil .Country and individuals were made rich through this wave. The third being corporate capitalism and forth which I would say Warren Buffet and the popular Wall Street came out from it’s the financial market. It is not that all those previous waves have been knocked out of existence, they are much more here. But the vehicle in which they are riding on is The Entrepreneurship vehicle.
Regarding the financial market, people invest money in startups these days.Examples are Facebook and many other tech and business startups. For the industrial movement ,you have factories where technology, phones and other commodities are massively produced all on the shoulder of entrepreneurs.
So it’s not that all the previous movement or revolution are now irrelevant but they all help pave the way for the emergence of entrepreneurial revolution.
The amazing thing is that the entrepreneurial wave now accommodate the youngest of people imaginable. I have heard much about a 11 year+ winning a contract to produce drinks.Read another of 17 years old boy making a huge buck running his own business.20- 30+ years making billions of dollars from their tech or business startups. There are ample room for anybody to ride on this wave.
The amazing thing is that this wave does not give you the the opportunity to just create any product you feel is good but the product or service that will meet people’s real needs.
Why you should not be left out
1.There are more enterprises but no employment – The employment sector is increasingly unreliable, unsustainable and as no match for the entrepreneurial path.A situation whereby government of a state cannot pay her workers salary ,what do you now expect of private sectors? Many institutions cannot afford their workers salary anymore so the people are forced to be creative. They build their own business but operate themselves. They look for how to increase productivity without manpower to cut cost and bring in more money. They look up to robots and automation for productivity solutions. That’s why you have automated machines all over and fewer people receives the money or help with transact in the bank and yet the queue is disturbing. Statistic states that ” Robots and automation are projected to replace 5.1million current jobs by 2020.I saw one headline that reads ” A robot in a Singaporean restaurant taking order” Imagine a waiter robot. All these artificial intelligence (AI) that Facebook and Google have initiated,it may sound good but they are quickly replacing human capacity and creativity. Like in messenger you can use AI (artificial intelligence) to chat with someone if you don’t have the time to chat. All these things contributes to the creation of fewer jobs and more enterprises. The best thing to do is to be an entrepreneur. Muhammad Yunus stated that “all people are entrepreneurs but many don’t have the opportunity to find that out” . This is even humorous ” My son is now an entrepreneur that’s what you’re called when you don’t have a job .”- Ted Turner.
2.To Survive – To survive in these days and time it will largely depend on how you can make money not how you can earn salary. Entrepreneurship is not only where you would make money but it’s obviously where you will need to live in for your financial survivability. There are fewer jobs are not secure, you are not promised that you won’t be sacked because anytime you can be fired which may not have anything to do with you. A preacher was talking about this and he said to the congregation that your jobs are not secure and may soon be taken from and the people were stunned at the pronouncement .I looked at it and I can say even though they don’t want to take it that way it’s the bitter truth. Entrepreneurship is the sure vehicle to ride on to ensure your family and your needs are met. It is not about job security anymore, it’s about human survivability. You can find the answer in starting your own business .To survive just do business.Get on the entrepreneurial wave and ride.
3.The Thrive – I first talked on survivability because you must first survive before you can thrive. Making it big in business these days is quite simple and well, quick. I said quick not just talking of overnight success but quick in terms of having success in business between 1 to 4 years. It’s easy because there are people who have done it before and thousands of how to on the internet. This allows business to thrive .Working a job doesn’t give you the opportunity to be creative and grow. Entrepreneurship gives room for growth. You learn something new, able to change patterns .You are just so flexible being an entrepreneur not doing things in traditional way which only offers survival.Step out of your comfort zone. You can’t but thrive in this wave when you know what people really need and you meet it. In fact, many enterprises were created so as to make other enterprises thrive. To thrive, step up already.
