I’m sure you know that I am an African, from Nigeria?
So, this is not a “foreigner” attacking Africans. Instead, your brother challenging you.
Listen to what I have to say;
If you pay attention to the news very well, you’ll see that African leaders are always beging for foreign aids, always.
They always look up to US, UK, China, to help them solve their economical and political problems.
When you listen to most Africans too, you’ll see that they are always seeking who will help them.
Like leaders; like followers.
Is it a generational curse or what?
Were we born with the spirit of dependence?
Why is it that most of us always wish someone else helps us?
Many people look up to companies to give them jobs, many look up to the government to solve their financial problem, while our government too look up to other countries for foreign aids.
I can’t understand why this is so, but I hope someone reading this will break himself away from the bondage of dependent spirit (or what should we call it?)
The reason why you think you are helpless is because you think so.
In the real sense, you’re not helpless.
You can create your own desired life, you can.
Many years ago when I was leaving school, I decided that I would never depend on Nigerian government or any employer to help me.
In fact, when I had opportunity to get a job in the bank (Skye Bank at that time), at the age of 21, I rejected the offer.
Today I’m an entrepreneur, living my life the way I want; no boss, no master, 100% freedom.
While I won’t pretend that it’s easy to get to where I am, I’m angry because so many people think they cannot do something wonderful with their lives, except someone helps them.
Why are you thinking that way?
I mean, animals, ordinary (weak) animals are living independently.
It’s time for Africans to stop expecting helps.
You don’t need anyone to help you.
You can help you!
I mean, you can help you!
One way to do that is to get the right education.
You know I hate school (read why HERE) because I believe it’s not giving the right education needed in this era.
If you want to be financially independent, you need to get the right financial education (which no school can ever give).
